SCRAM 2000
==========
Here is the second of a series of Public Domain KitWare hardware projects
for the Amiga. On this disk you will find the design for an 8Meg RAM and
SCSI controller for the Amiga 2000 (SCsi RAM for the 2000 = SCRAM 2000).
You will also find an order form to obtain PCB, chips and whatever you
need to build one.
The SCRAM 2000 is easy to build, cheap and should be useful to a lot of
people. It is unique in providing sockets for either a standard 8 bit
SCSI Controller chip (same as the SCRAM 500) or the high performance
53C94 SCSI Controller from NCR. With an accelerated A2000 (27MHz 030)
and a fast drive the 53C94 version has been clocked at 1.8 Mbytes/sec on
DiskSpeed!
The SCRAM 2000 is so cheap and easy to build, you can ignore the SCSI
controller and just use it as a RAM Card!
There is a lot of information on this disk, so have fun! I have split
the archive up on this disk into separate files. With the SCRAM 500
KitWare disk many users had problems dearchiving such a big file.
I hope to be publishing more PD KitWare very soon. Look out for the
SCRAM Jet - a low cost '030 accelerator companion card for the SCRAM
500. There is also possible a very low-cost network for the Amiga.
